Where: Bandipur National Park, India (Tiger Reserve)
When: Early afternoon hours of Jan 2012
This shot was taken during my first wild-life photography tour to Bandipur national park. This park is a part of Kabini forest reserve that intersects three Indian states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. It is located on the banks of Kaveri River, and is a heaven for nature, wild-life and photography lovers.
After couple of days of chilly early morning and early evening drives, we could not spot any tiger (which was the main purpose of the trip), I was a bit disheartened. On our way to tea / snacks in the resort, I found this beautiful creation of mother nature sitting leisurely, as if waiting for me to be clicked. I was mesmerized by its pristine beauty and almost forgot to take a shot; however, it didn’t budge (as if demanded to be clicked).
