Where: Bandipur National Park, India (Tiger Reserve)
When: Late morning hours of Jan 2012
This shot was taken during my first wild-life photography tour to Bandipur national park. This park is a part of Kabini forest reserve that intersects three Indian states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. It is located on the banks of Kaveri River, and is a heaven for nature, wild-life and photography lovers.
Roaming around deep inside jungle to spot tigers, we found a bunch of deer lazily grazing. From their body language, it was clear that there were no predators around (means no tigers). However, this baby deer was a bit too cautious and curious about our presence. Moving around trees to keep herself safe while checking us out, giving me a perfect peek-a-boo shot.
