Where: Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, India
When: Late morning hours of March 2012
Nehru zoological park, commonly referred as Hyderabad Zoo, located in outskirts of south of Hyderabad city, is a delight for animal lovers, children and budding photographers. One can get to shoot a varied and beautiful sightings of mammals and birds, in a decently controlled environment.
This shot touched my heart as it echoed the feeling I felt at that time. Despite being in the middle of his own folks, he seemed alone, he seemed lost – lost in the crowd. It took me years to read the feeling differently – Maybe he was content with himself, not dependent on the world for his happiness. I do not know what he felt then, but I know what I felt then and what I feel now. There is a subtle difference between loneliness and solitude.
